Spring Is Here!!!

Wow this has been the best March ever!!! It is the very first March, in my lifetime, that we did not have even a flake of snow! Spring has actually sprung and here is actual proof of that. Check out all the buds on this tree!

And in honor of spring here is a spring card that I made! It is a really simple tent card that I made using some of my older supplies. It just makes you smile doesn't it?

Enjoy your day and enjoy spring!

Creamy Chicken Lasagna Recipe

Here's the Chicken Lasagna that I told you about in my last post. I got this recipe from Betty Crocker's recipe book called Easy Recipes with Rotisserie Chicken and let me tell you it is the best cookbook I have ever bought. This recipe makes a 9x13 pan and it is sooooooo good that it goes really fast!

Creamy Chicken Lasagna

12 uncooked Lasagna noodles

1 Tbsp butter or margarine

3/4 c chopped green peppers, optional

3/4 c chopped onion

1/3 c milk

2 cans cream of chicken soup

1/2 tsp dried basil leaves

1/4 tsp pepper

1 12 oz container cottage cheese

3 c dices rotisserie chicken

2 c shredded mozzarella cheese

1 c shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 pan (I always use my Pampered Chef stoneware pan for easy cleanup) with non stick spray.

Cook noodles as directed on package.

Melt butter over med-high heat and add peppers and onions cook about 5 minutes stirring occasionally, until crisp tender.

Remove from heat and add milk, soups, basil and pepper.

Place 4 noodles in bottom of pan. Top with 1 cup of sauce, half the cottage cheese, 1 1/2 c chicken, 2/3 c mozzarella cheese and 1/3 c cheddar cheese.

Repeat layers once, starting with the noodles. Place the remaining 4 noodles over top. Top with remaining soup mixture, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Bake uncovered 50-55 minutes or until hot in the center and golden brown. Let stand 15 minutes before you serve it, enjoy!

I served this with garlic toast and a Cesar salad

Cathy raved about it! I hope you try this and enjoy it as much as we did!

Fun Day At My Friend Cathy's!

My Friend Cathy and I have been trying to get together for quite some time to do some stamping and we finally made it happen! Here's Cathy and take a look at the mess we made on her kitchen table! Oh well good art is messy right?
Here are some of the cards we made:

This is my favorite card that I made!

It's amazing and what you can do with a bag of scrap paper, some stamps, punches and embellishments! I think we did a great job!
Here is Cathy's dog Max he needed a little mommy time so we had to take a break! Isn't he the cutest? He has gotten so gray over the years but I think it makes him look even cuter!!!
I brought over lunch with me and I made Chicken Lasagna and I will post the recipe tomorrow! You won't want to miss this it was fantastic!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Well I have had a fun filled birthday week and my friends have spoiled me rotten (and boy am I loving it!) ha ha ha.

Here are some of the handmade cards that I got:
This one is from my friend and sister consultant Sheri
This one is from my friend and sister consultant Tammy

This one is from my BFF Cathy she bought this stamp set to make her Easter cards and turned it into my birthday card! Isn't this the cutest thing you have ever seen?

This card is from my friend Marge, she took a plain card from the $ spot at Target and decorated it to become a birthday card! Very creative!

This card is from my friend DeDe, this is actually a club card we did and she is a member of my card club!

This card and beautiful flower is from my friend and sister consultant Liz and her family! Her daughter Meghan is my other BFF and she usually picks out the flowers that she gave me and she did a FANTASTIC job! If you are a friend of mine on Facebook if you look at my picture I am holding flowers from them that Meghan picked out too!

Last but not least, my fiance works at a Country Club and he brought me home this BEAUTIFUL cupcake that the baker at the club made! I don't know if you can see the middle of the flowers very good but they are Oreo's! Dave has brought home a few things that Harrison has made and he makes the most creative things ever! It is way to nice to even eat and Dave brought it home in a little cup and wrote "Happy Birthday" on the top how sweet!

Well turning "25" sure was fun and I can't wait to turn "25" again next year!!! Thank you to all who helped me celebrate this wonderful day, I should say week, and let's do it again next year!!

File Folder Notebook Holder

Wow this is my second post for the day can you believe it? Make sure you scroll down to see the other great project that I have been working on!
Check out this great File Folder Notebook Holder, isn't this just the cutest thing and it is so very easy to make. When I first came across this I used regular manila file folders and used B&T paper to decorate it them but then when I was wondering around at Michaels I found these folders in the $1 section and just couldn't resist trying it with them. It is much easier and faster using the file folders that are already decorated for you.

This is a view of the folder with out the table it in. I used the cut off pieces to decorate the top of the tablet to match the outside of the holder.

The left hand side that folds over the note book has a pocket so you can put receipts, travel mementos just about anything that you would have that you didn't want to loose.

Here's one that I have started to decorate the outside with some ribbon but I haven't decided what else to put on the outside but the sky's the limit, you can put anything you want and wouldn't this make a great gift?

If you would like to make one of these for yourself, just click here and Tammy has made a great new video showing you just how easy it is to make one of these!

Hope you have as much fun making these as we did and check back soon for more fun things to come!

Spring is in the air and Easter is coming!

Spring is in the air and the rain has begun! It has been raining for a couple of days and believe it or not I love it when it rains. There is nothing better than to be able to be home on a rainy day and sitting at my kitchen table and creating some great art work. Too bad I wasn't able to sit at my table and do a lot of creating but I am thinking about Easter. It is just around the corner you know! Check out these really cute little baskets that I made. They were both very easy and very fast.

I was blog surfing and found the square one on Angie's blog and the long thin basket I got from Split Coast Stampers. You can click on the names and it will take you to the blogs that I found these on. I don't really know which one I like better but I do know that the thin basket is going to hold some really delicious chocolate Cadbury Eggs! YUMMY I especially like the ones that are made with Snicker bars!!

What will your Easter Bunny get for you this year? Start leaving hints I have................ :-)

Retired Product 12 x 12 Swap Layout

Here's my 12 x 12 layout for the retired product layout swap. This paper is really, really old but I LOVED it as I LOVE flowers. Who wouldn't love to get this layout? I loved it so much I kept one for myself!

Here's the second page

Not all the paper I used was this one I also used two other retired paper packets. I titled this layout "Friends" since some of the other paper I used was a retired paper pack for Cats. I consider my cat my friend so I thought it would be the best title that I could use. I also used the stamp "You and Me" in the middle of the circle.

Retired Product Swap Card

Here's my swap card for this month's swap.

We are focusing on retired product and the paper and card stock that I am using are both no longer available. I love doing these kinds of swaps because I get some really great ideas and I get to use product that I no longer need!

This card is a fun card to make and is not your ordinary card and I LOVE making these kinds of cards. My convention cards both are not your ordinary cards too, check them out in my previous post. We will be making a card similar to this at this months club.

This is a picture of the inside of the card. The "Happy Birthday to You" pops up when you open the card.

Here's a better shot of how I popped up the sentiment

Hope you enjoyed my card and if you would like to come and check out my card club call me or e-mail me and I will make room for you!

Convention Bound!

I am going to convention!!!
The hotel room has been booked, the plane tickets have been bought and the convention registration has been completed it's official! I am so excited that I have already started my convention card swaps! I am such the procrastinator but when I get super excited about something I jump on things, I would already be packed if it wasn't 5 months away! LOL

CTMH convention is going to be in Washington, DC and that's another reason that I am so excited to go as I have never been anywhere on the east coast! Here's a picture of the hotel that we will be staying at:
This is the Gaylord Palms Hotel that is on the Potomac River in Maryland. Wow what a hotel huh? If you have ever stayed at a Gaylord Palms you know their hotels are HUGE! We stayed at the one in Kissimmee, Florida for the last CTMH convention and let me tell you, it's like several cities under one roof, they are totally AMAZING!

Swapping cards is one of the high lights about convention. It is a great way to meet other consultants and get tons of great card ideas for me to pass onto you! CTMH consultants are the most creative people and I have NEVER been disappointed in the cards that I have gotten from this swap! Here are two of the swap cards that I will be swapping at convention:

Both of these cards are very simple but the photos do not do them justice. They both use very little card stock and the glitter on them just gives them the right sparkle. You can't really see that on here but trust me, it's the cake topper!

Keep watching as I also participate in a 9x9 album swap. I will post my design once I finalize it. This is the best swap as I will come home with a completed album ready to add photos and journaling. The most fun will be showing you all the fun that we will have while we were there!!

Have a great day!

Fun Day With The Girls!

I had a little day trip yesterday! I went to Wisconsin to visit some of my scrapbooking friends! I first went to St. Croix Falls and picked up my friend Shelly

and then we headed to Turtle Lake to my other friend, Tammy and had lunch and little art day.

It all started years ago when one of my co-workers told me about these great prime rib sandwiches at the Turtle Lake Casino. Well for those of you who know me know that it is ALL ABOUT THE FOOD, and I have never forgotten how this girl raved about these sandwiches. I have wanted to go there ever since but have never gotten there. Well it just so happened that all three of us had the day to do nothing so decided to get together and go and try these out.

Let me tell you this sandwiche was HUGE! The piece of prime rib was almost bigger than the plate and it was served on a hoagie bun for $4.50! If you were to eat that anywhere else it would have easily cost over $10 for a piece that size. So not knowing how big it actually was I ordered Nachos too, needless to say the nachos came home and so did half of that sandwich for Dave!!!

After lunch we went back to Tammy's and did some art, Shelly and I snooped at all the great art work she has all over her great stamping room and then we copied some cards that I plan on using for club!

Once again we got hungry, can you believe that? ha ha ha so off to the Hotel Bar and Grill for dinner. Tammy is a regular at this place and she knew everyone and everyone knew her! Oh did I tell you it's a small town or should I let you think that she gets around? Ha ha ha No it's a small town and she has lived there forever!

Now as we walked in we were told it really wasn't the Hotel Bar it was really the "Hot L Bar".

You can see in my photo that the E is burnt out and I guess has been forever. This little bar was amazing, if you ever get the chance to go there do. They have a bar tender that paints on ceiling tile and for $40 you can have anything you want painted on a tile. Here's a picture of one that is in memory of Tammy's son Tony. There were a ton that looked like people's business cards, very cool.
We all tried to be good for dinner so Tammy and I both had grilled chicken salads and Shelly had a burger that was huge and she got sour cream and chive flavored fries. Well could you have passed up a sample of that? I couldn't and they were the best!! We also started out with something called Corn Nuggets and they were good too they were similar to a corn fritter if you have ever had one of those.

So it was a very fun day and by the time I got home I was exhausted! I drug my stuff in and went to bed!

Oh Yeah I almost forgot to introduce you to my new friend "Barney". This is Tammy's cat and boy is he lovable! He took a liking to both Shelly and I but it was my bag that he loved the most!

Have a great day,
